Glad Tidings

GLAD TIDINGS 5 JUNE 2026 THE FINAL WAVE We are living in a crucial time regarding what may be considered “the final wave.” We do not know the exact time of the Lord’s return, but we do know that the Lord is coming for a thriving, hungry, and passionate bride. What we expect to see in these “last of the last days” is a powerful move of God within the church and spreading throughout the earth. We must be prepared by taking every necessary step to pursue the bridegroom. Remember, there was a day when the door to the Ark was closed. It is crucial that we look for God’s glory to cover us as the waters cover the sea. “Ask ye of the Lord rain in the time of the latter rain: so the Lord shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.” - Zechariah 10:1 There is a time and season when God releases or initiates a powerful move of His Spirit. Certain elements of His sovereignty will come into play. It would be presumptuous for us to assume that we can turn revival on or off by what we do alone. Conversely, it would be fatalistic to believe that it is all up to God and that we need to do nothing. Jesus clearly announced that there is a sovereign aspect to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in these last days. He was about to send it, but he also pointed out the disciples' duty to go, await the promise, and pray. God always awakens us to prepare for what He wants to do in us. I think about how Queen Esther prepared herself to see the king. God initiates change within our hearts to further us in His divine plan. The timing of our preparation must follow suit with God’s. He prepares in us that which He has prepared for us, Hosea said, “Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord: His going forth is prepared as the morning, and he shall come unto us as the rains, the latter and former rain unto the earth” (Hosea 6:3). Jesus even mentioned in Luke chapter nineteen that Israel missed their time of visitation (Luke 19:44). There are times set or fixed by the Father, and there are things we must do to be ready to catch the wave of His purpose and intent. This heart preparation comes as we stay alert to the prophetic Word of God and the prophetic anointing of His Spirit. Both are essential in ushering in the fullness of God’s prophetic moves. All waves come by a sovereign element, but they are caught through heart preparation. This principle remains unchanged, even regarding the final wave that will bring the church age to a close. The mystery of redemption is Christ in you, the hope of glory. There is a place in Christ where we understand the importance of having a confident expectation of days filled with glory, and that this glory is our ultimate destiny. The hidden wisdom of God in redemption is for our glory! When God's light shines into our hearts, it serves His divine purpose: to reveal the glory of the new creation in Christ Jesus as a hidden treasure in these earthen vessels. By allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us through these essential changes, we start to adapt to God’s ever-growing glory as we learn to live His life more abundantly. This is the final wave before Jesus returns. He is called the alpha and omega, the beginning and the end. The word “omega” symbolizes something large, enormous, giant, and great. These are days of coming glory. What Christ will complete will be marked by glory. It will be the last chapter of the church. As the church age comes to an end, God’s plan is for her to shine with the light of heaven. Much of what happened in the book of Acts will be repeated. It will be a direct result of the final wave, which is all part of the latter rain. Joel even prophesied of this day: “Be glad then ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain the first month” (Joel 2:23). Much of this concerns the nation of Israel, but often God intends for His prophetic word to have other spiritual implications. All that has been developing since the early days of reformation will reach a peak in a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit in these last days. We have already entered the water, and it is rising. Just as Ezekiel’s vision shows water progressing from ankledeep to knee-deep, then waist-deep, and eventually overflowing, we must be prepared for what is to come. This is what we have to look forward to. Does this mean the entire church will walk in this level of light and revelation? Unfortunately, no. The Bible speaks of days of increased deception and a great falling away. Men will depart from the faith, giving in to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils (1 Tim. 4:1). There will be a drawing influence that leads to two paths: One path will be revival within the hearts of many because of the influence of this great final wave. The other path will be the pull of the world, leaving those less hungry for what is to come to drift away from the faith. Paul emphasizes a stern warning: “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of life. Let us walk honestly, as in the day, not in rioting ... Their migration is an awesome sight. There is an interdependence in the way geese function. FACT: As each bird flaps its wings, it creates an “uplift” for the bird following. By flying in a “V” formation, the whole flock adds 71% greater flying range than if each bird flew alone. LESSON: People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier because they are traveling on the thrust of one another. A shared vision and sense of purpose create synergy, making the going a little easier for all. FACT: Whenever a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to fly alone. It quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the “lifting power” of the bird immediately in front. LESSON: If we have as much sense as a goose, we will stay in formation with those we see who are headed where we want to go. FACT: When the lead goose gets tired, it rotates back into the formation and another goose flies at the point position. LESSON: It pays to take turns doing the hard tasks and sharing leadership — people, as with geese, are interdependent upon one another. FACT: The geese in formation honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed. LESSON: Positive encouragement is a strong motivator. We need to make sure our “honking” from behind is empowering, and not something less helpful. FACT: When a goose gets sick or wounded, two geese drop out of formation to follow him or her down to help and protect their fallen companion. They stay with him/her until [s]he is either able to fly again or dies. Then they launch out on their own with another formation or catch up with their flock. LESSON: If we have as much sense as the geese, we will learn to stand by each other as we are achieving our goals.
